Here is a selection of houseplants from my last show. Entitled simply "Houseplants" this group of works questions the thought process through repetitive organic hand movements.
These drawings begin from thoughtless motions in sketchbooks. Two series, Houseplants and Arrows, grow and evolve organically through repetitive hand motions weaving in and out of words, scribbles, thoughts, arrows, and squares. When extracted from the book and placed on paper, they find lives of their own. This collection is created in the same pen and ink method yet feel, look, and smell independent from one anther.
